Message to Waynesboro Residents

Waynesboro residents should beware of anyone soliciting funds on behalf of the "UVa Symphony" or the "UVa Orchestra." Two young men have been attempting to sell magazine subscriptions door to door. They tell residents that proceeds will pay for the orchestra's trip to London to perform with the London Symphony Orchestra.

There is no UVa Symphony or UVa Orchestra. The Charlottesville & University Symphony Orchestra is not planning a trip to London; nor does it raise funds in this manner. Anyone who is approached should contact the orchestra's Executive Director, Janet Kaltenbach, at 434-924-6505 or the Waynesboro Police Department at 540-942-6675.
